Emotions That Harm The Body

Stress is like an epidemic in our society. Stressors can be derived either by the environment outside us and within ourselves. So far people think stress is something that usually happen without knowing the harm they cause. I am very interested in the book written by Don Col Bert MD a simple outline of the relationship between the mind-body-spirit that can heal or destroy. I wanted to share how stressful traveling into a disease.

The whole system is first of all physical responses involving hormones epinephrine and norepinephrine. both of these hormones possess a major influence on the sympathetic nervous system during stress. when there is an event that is stressful, the brain recognizes it and responds to stress by triggering the release of specific hormones of the hypothalamus, the gland below the brain and adrenal glands. It also triggers the stress response adrenal glands to release epinephrine also known as adrenaline.Sympathetic nerves are stimulated to release epinephrine throughout the body. There sympathetic nerves throughout the body, even in organs and tissues of us so that when they are stimulated, your heart rate increases, your colon is stimulated (which can cause diarrhea), you sweat, throat dilated vessels that allow more oxygen to enter.
These hormones work very balanced in the body. The right amount of each hormone will produce a positive thing. however, too much or too little of certain hormones will cause a negative thing.
When the body releases adrenaline into the system, the body also releases a hormone called cortisol. Here's the explanation:
Adrenaline is a powerful hormone that has much impact on the body. It focuses the brain, sharpen vision, and constrict the muscles in preparation for fight or flight. It also causes increased blood pressure and heart rate. When the adrenaline starts to flow throughout the body as digestion stops dilangsir blood from the digestive system and sent to the muscles. If the stress was only briefly, a little rush of adrenaline is good and no harm. For example, if someone is facing an angry dog, or a sudden attack from someone who is angry, the body will react to danger and stress by pumping adrenaline and cortisol into the system. However, long-term stress can always pumping stress hormones into the system an individual almost as a habit. For example, if a person lived many years in unresolved anger with others.
This long-term emotional stress causes the flow of adrenaline andkrtisol continuously into the blood stream and has damaging effects to the body. Adrenaline levels are high and prolongedincreases the heart rate and blood pressure so that the heart beatsfaster and high blood pressure. it is not good. In addition, high levels of adrenaline and prolonged can also cause an increase in triglycerides are fats in the blood and also increases the blood excellence. Can also cause the blood clot more quickly which can result in plaque (in case of plaque that clogs arteries, causes heart attack), the thyroid becomes overly stimulated, and the body produces more cholesterol.
Cortisol levels are high and prolonged can cause increased blood sugar and insulin, triglyceride and cholesterol levels increased andpersisted at high levels. Too much cortisol can increase weightand produce a persistent obesity, especially the midsection. Too much cortisol can also reduce calcium, magnesium, and potassium, causing bone fragility. In addition, too much cortisol will also cause the body to retain sodium (salt) which causes an increase in the blood.
Physical problems that occur due to prolonged stress :
- Heart and vascular problems
- Problems digestive system
- Headache
- Skin disease
- Genitourinary system
- Pain and inflammation
- Problem lungs and breathing
